The Waldorf had a nightclub upstairs too. I was never out of the place.

Lock ins were all over the shop

Yeah, but I was talking in the afternoon. Late lock-ins were common place, especially in rural areas. Afternoon lock-ins must have been insane affairs.

And city were shit .... lock ins in the afternoon at the Waldorf in the 70’s ? From bad memory they just did what they wanted and most of the punters were probably off duty dibble. Ha

My best go to after time boozer was miles away when drink driving was the norm. Bollington ha ha it was the countryside to us.

I was less than an hour away from watching the QPR game in there, when my ticket finally turned up. Fucking buzzing, I was - but I reckon it would have been a good boozer to watch it in. My mate watched it there and had a ball. So I'm fond of the place, had many a good pint in there, but the service is usually wank.

I was in the Waldorf after the home game vs Sunderland was called off after the gales, a few years back. I think the rags were on the TV. I was drinking on a table with a group of people who asked me if I wanted to join the ballroom dancing class upstairs. I stayed downstairs to watch the rest of the game on the TV and downed another couple of strongbows. I think the rags dropped points lol
