If we get 6 points from first two games then 1st place
4 points then 2nd place
less than 3 points then 3rd or 4th place
I will be disappointed if we finish below third.
Carling, FA cups and Europa league are also winnable for our squad and getting that swamp banner down
Also more than three corner kicks in whole season to beat the first defender, I can only remember two last season

You cant predict the whole season based on the first 2 games!!

No you cant but it will show our intent if we can manage a really good start and the pressure on us will be reduced.
Realistically Im predicting third and more than 3 successful corners

More than 3 successful corners? Are you taking the piss? ;)

On that reasoning we should have done much better last year than we did, Ade should also have scored 48 goals in the season.

Get real!

Yes your right we should have done much better sacking the manager halfway through the season was a big mistake and the "injury time " loss at the swamp knocked the team back a bit.
I am taking the piss about corners but they were generally woeful last year

As long as enough of our remaining summer transfer targets pan out, then the best case scenario is that only Chelsea could stop us taking the title and perhaps not even them. We may not be able to put out the best team in the country but our squad is second to none, which may be telling in the long run.

Worse case scenario is that the team takes time to gel and the players who have never played in the prem before take time to adapt their game for the prem.

Only time will tell. The really encouraging thing is that Joe Cole notwithstanding, the usual "SKY FOUR" suspects (Rags, Chelski, Dippers, and Gooners) have failed to build significantly on their squads for the second season running. And other than Arsenal, these clubs have too many players in their thirties (Lampard, Terry, Drogba, Giggs, Scholes, Gary Weasel Neville, Wio Ferdinand, Carragher, Gerrard, Kuyt). These clubs will pay the price very soon for not replacing older players. Scholes is a shadow of his former self and Giggs is heading in the same direction. They all are.

We're winning the league. If it does't happen this season, it will happen the next.

-- Tue Jul 20, 2010 8:20 pm --

Finish 3rd-4th
CC or FA Cup win
Semi-final or final in the Europa League

A 3rd/4th finish. We came 5th last season with a lesser team. I would be gutted if we only improve by one or two places. We need to be be aiming as high as it gets.

2-3rd in the league and win the carling cup. semis of the FA cup and a disappointing early QF exit from the europa.

3rd\4th with a good run in the FA cup, but I can see us going the whole way in the Europa. Only problem with that is that it's so many games and with most being on Thursday's, it could compromise our league form. Think the Carling Cup will suffer due to our involvement in the Europa and we'll field second\third strength teams and get knocked out around last 16 stage.

Last season I said top 6 and a semi-final - we got that but now it gets harder - top 4 and a final is still reasonable because I think we´re under enormous pressure to hit the ground running with half a new team. Any more than that will be a bonus. 3rd faves at 5/1 for the title worries me a bit coz if we start sluggishly the pressure´s gonna be straight on Mancini. It really doesn´t surprise me he´s fave for the chop coz if you think about it the top 8 all have a reasonable chance and we play a few of them early doors.Finish outside top 4 and Bob´s a gonner. The players are really going to have to show their mettle from the off - hopefully the squad strength will be such that there´ll be no room for complacency

Not watch many games then? We had the best corner conversion rate in the league last season, we scored from 3 in one game ffs!

My prediction:

United
Chelsea
Liverpool
Arsenal
City
Spurs
Everton
