Premier League & COVID discussion | 4 positive cases now required for postponement

I know they're different competitions and organisations but, would it not be feasible to consider cancelling the FA Cup tournament this year?
lol, no arguments from me on that, but I’m sure a few would be “up in arms”!

I'm not sure about the 13 players plus a keeper rule, what if you have literally no defenders but a full compliment of attackers? There's no reason why that couldn't happen, it's no less likely than having an even spread of positions. However, the ruling to carry on is absolutely the right thing to do, would have been mental to postpone games that potentially don't need postponing.

How will they stop clubs claiming injury to make sure they fall below that number if they're struggling and don't want to play? Because there's no doubt whatsoever that will happen. I'd be saying if a player is deemed injured they'd need to provide undeniable proof or they will be unavailable for whenever the rearranged fixture takes place.

Let's hope we can avoid an outbreak this week, seems unlikely we won't get hit with it eventually and we've got some hard fixtures on the horizon that we don't want to be severely weakened for.

Don't really agree with the rules they have put out for 13 players.
What if you only have 1 goalkeeper without covid and he gets injured in the 1st minute?
Does that include injuries - what if you have 1 covid case and 8 injuries taking you under the threshold?
The biggest error though is the youth team part. If we had 12 players + Ederson + James mcatee available we would have to play because he played 3 minutes in a Premier league game. Managers will stop giving debuts to young players so they don't count in the number.

We basically have a team of midfielders which is how Pep likes it. The 13 player rule could actually play into our hands.

All sporting events in Wales to be behind closed doors. England soon to follow?
