Premier League & COVID discussion | 4 positive cases now required for postponement

Everton Leicester called off for the second time. Extremely fishy this time. Would like to see it disclosed whether any of the players who went to the darts are isolating.

ludicrous that they can fulfill a cup fixture but not a league game. Should be made to forfeit, they've had enough time to get over the original outbreak.

From the Premier League:
'Everton's match against Leicester City at Goodison Park, due to be played at 20:00 GMT on Tuesday 11 January, has regrettably been postponed.

The Premier League Board accepted Leicester's application as the club do not have the required number of players available for the match (13 outfield players and one goalkeeper) due to COVID-19 cases, injuries and players on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Board was able to make its decision in advance of the fixture to give clarity to the affected clubs and their fans.

We apologise for the inconvenience and disruption caused to supporters who planned on attending and watching the game, and we are aware that postponements will disappoint fans'

Only covid cases should come into it, injuries and international duty are just par for the course

Liverpool will be all over this

Injuries, suspensions and players away on international duty should have no bearing on a postponement request, they're part of the game. Only covid cases should be part of the process.
