So are Newcastle shite? Or just knackered from the midweek game? Would have happily taken a point today to keep West ham deep in the crap...can't even rely on the unwashed to do that for us...pricks

As long as I can remember, the barcodes have been flakey on the road. Even in the season when they qualified for the CL. They just don't seem to travel well. Any reason why you want West Ham to be "in the crap"? Where you are in the table, they're no threat to you at the moment.

Interesting stat - Haaland scored the only open play goal Arsenal have conceded all season.
Which after 10 games is mental

Having a defence where you'd conceded 12 goals across a full season is a pretty sure fire way to win a league (obviously they wont keep up this current rate)

I have infinite belief that we are still in a relegation battle, we have a torrid set of fixtures coming up...Asenal, you twice, Liverpool, Bournemouth....

Until the Pts column says 40.... I'm kicking every ball against teams down there....
It's an inbred constantly let down Sunderland thing

That said.... I'm bloody loving life at the minute....very unexpected to say the least

Kinda feel like Burnley and Leeds even after their good starts will both go down and Forest and West Ham will stay up.

Forest for sure will stay up, their squad is way, way, too strong to go down. West Ham lack pace but have two bonafied top talents in Bowen and Paqueta + a really good coach now.

I agree with this however without being called arrogant etc I think for either City or Dippers to be a realistic challenger they would have to improve significantly. It's all good and well saying Arsenal will drop points (and they will) but City and Liverpool need to be ready to take advantage of this and I guess that's what many folk are struggling to see.

Most likely if anyone steps up it will be City - it is vital you beat Bournemouth today and then finally kill off the Dippers' title challenge next week else it will all be moot as this Arsenal side is a 90+ point PL side this season so there isn't much room for error.
It’s early doors for such prescience, especially given the recent history.

I’m not even saying Arsenal can’t run away with it, but all they have to do is beat City and Liverpool, something you haven’t done yet this season, and the other top teams, something you have also yet to do this season.

After only 10 games, you haven’t even played half the division ONCE yet alone twice, which is why Pep always talks about “get back to me in March!”

It’s all a little precious of the media to be getting so excited about Arsenal “steamrollering” the League because they score from corners, but I’m wondering how long it will be before goalkeepers start getting the protection they normally receive.

While I’m sure you’ll guffaw, but when a player literally holds a keepers arm to stop him…but then let’s it go…is it a foul if he then manages to touch the ball?

I’m all for refs letting the game flow and ignoring flopping, but you see where it got Donnarumma! Tried to make a play on the ball AFTER being held, so the ref gave nothing…AND CAR IGNORED IT AS “NOT ENOUGH”??

In the end, it didn’t affect the result, but reduced City’s GD, which might be an issue with Arsenal not giving up many goals.

It’d be nice to see refs start calling actual fouls and ignoring the BS. Teams have started flooding the six-yard box in an effort to nick a goal, and Arsenal have perfected the “art” of this non-foul fouling…as everyone outside the Emirates knows!

Cya in May. The League table doesn’t lie. If you win it, you’ll deserve it…regardless of how anyone feels about the current state of refereeing!

If that’s the case after 38 games, I’ll doff my cap, but they’ve not exactly played everyone ONCE yet, let alone twice.

They got 1 point and 1 goal from City at home and Liverpool away. Beating Burnley isn’t the high watermark for quality!

Glad the Hammers won and hopefully Wolves pick up dont want the dirty rats from Leeds staying up ............they are about to hit a run of tough games which will hopefully see them slide down the league
