Fair play to Tom Hanks. He was chanting along with the Villa fans. Seems to be a genuine fan.
That's good enough for me!Yes and no
A Villa win kills any impetus to be cautious or cavalier. We needed Villa to come away with at least a point, because a loss would have kept Spurs in the hunt with just a draw, and a draw is NOT what WE need, but they would. Now BOTH teams have to go for the win, and Spurs' defence is as leaky as Old Trafford's roof. How does that work? Had Villa lost and spurs drawn with us, that would have needed a 7 goal swing to spurs on the last day? Spurs needed a win against us, still do, and would have done if Villa had lost. The only result that would have helped us was a Villa win?
ill get back to you tomorrow nightCan somebody clue me in on whether this is a good or bad result for City?
The forum can't seem to make its mind up!!!
It wouldn’t, spurs goal difference is EIGHT worseA Villa win kills any impetus to be cautious or cavalier. A Villa loss would have seen Spurs need to avoid defeat against us, a Villa win would kill their CL aspirations, a draw forces them to actually try and go for the win, and we've all seen what happens when they do that (hint, they conceed, a lot)

Their players will want Champions League (irrespective of what fans want). They'll go for it all game, but that's only my thoughts. I wouldn't put money on the way they'll play.they might play last 10 minute football
