Premier League Games 11/12/13/14 August 2023

True Geordie is one person and he's an arse who made his name by swearing on Youtube. He only ever commented about things which were shown on TV so I doubt he even went to games. Most of our fans had no problem with Man City other than being jealous of how you fell on your feet. I know we were one of the clubs who signed a letter to try and drop you in the shit but that was under Ashley and most of our fans were pissed off with the way that Ashley went on. The letter should never have been signed by us.
Fair enough comment, and I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I did only use TG as one example, but there were quite a few others too who put it in print. I do also appreciate that fans don't act or think as a monolithic block, and I will say that I enjoy your contributions to this forum. But I felt that particularly in the early days of Mansour's ownership that we copped a fair bit from Newcastle (you certainly weren't alone in that regard).

I will say one other thing - since the Saudi takeover, you've barely put a foot wrong. That was a very impressive performance today, Tonali looks like a good signing, and we will be in for a very tough game next Saturday.

I thought you were decent, helped by villa's tactics of giving your pacy front line plenty of space to run behind, as for the villa keeper, imo it wasn't a red, he was quite wide and had a covering player, didn't see the handball you're talking about.
Very energetic side, plenty of quality, I like Barnes, very good player, think isak is quality as well, if you can keep everyone fit I think your home form will be good depends how you are away, definitely see another top 4 though
I'll be more surprised if we get top 4 than I was when we got it last season. I think the extra games will not help us at all. I guess the only good thing this season if all of our players know how we play and we don't really change our game depending on other teams like we have in the past so I think our main problem will be recovery time between games.

I'll look at a single goal defeat next week as a win because we usually get humiliated by you. I expected that today would be tough and it was at first. The injury to Mings killed the game for a while but we do have quality now and our bench today was as good as we’ve had for more than a decade considering we didn’t have to weaken the starting 11 to fill out the bench and we still have Willock to come back and we have a young 17 year old who could justifiably make the bench during any other season than this one.

Judging by the press and other fan’s reactions to the Biffa bacon horse punchers result, their mock outrage with human rights issues and petro funding doesn’t seem to extend beyond the Abu Dhabi city limits

It's got that way I hate almost every other club and it's mainly down to the shit their fans spout. By far the worse are the online overseas ones who've never been to a live game in their lives. Even ratface at the swamp.is usually complimentary about us.
Which ratface and when was he complimentary?

Yep. Opposing managers aren't, on the whole, generally a problem. Or rival players. It's their fans, and the media. Yes there'll be the odd twat about, of course. Envy is an ugly trait.
Dishonourable mentions to Klopp and Ten Bob for being exceptions and snide fucks where City are concerned.
