Many of the ‘experts’ on the tv don’t know them either, to be fair. Always thought the academy players should all have to do a referees course and referee some games, to give them an idea of what it’s like.

I think Everton have spent more money on their squad than Spurs.

You regularly get bottom half Prem teams buying decent players who’ve played in the Champions League for teams around Europe. We play some teams teams in the CL where we’ve had tougher tests from teams at the top of the Championship in the domestic Cups and certainly bottom half Prem teams.

It’s the most varied league in terms of tactics and styles of play n’all. While not always pleasing on the eye, it makes it more interesting.

It’s a fantastic league!
