Not that champions league refs are perfect and there's been some shit ones but there often seems to be a noticeable drop-off when you're watching Champions League games during the week and then we come back to the Premier League and the officiating seems a lesser standard

They’ll be a drop off from the best referees, handpicked from all over Europe for Champions League games, compared to the standard across any individual league.

It would be odd if there wasn’t.
