I often think the first weekend after international breaks are like this.

Any flow any team had got into gets interrupted, add that to any teams that never got into any flowing the first place, and you’ve got a day of football like today.

This is true as well.

As a so-called elite sport, pre-season training is a fucking joke and doesn’t prepare elite sportsmen for a season of performance, players have to play far too much football through the season and then have far too short recovery time at the end of the season.

Last 2 years of football I would say have been ridiculously boring, Europe and England. Far too many games.
