There is no love lost between Sheffield and Leeds.Jon Moss, Leeds, reffing Sheffield United.
It DID. My Missus remembers the THUD with which his head hit the deck at Highbury in '05 on her first City match.Ah, Sibby, Sibby, Sibby. I always felt that the ground shook when he landed.
Not many outside of Liverpool supporters celebrated that goal.Pleased for Alisson, but doesn’t alter the fact the game was a bit bent lol .
Hope you get CL for the fans, despite what your owners and the rest of the Nasty Nine did to City last year.Yes it’s ultimately true, but we have not lost yet. If we do make it into top 4 it will be an astounding season, and Chelsea look ripe for a meltdown too me.
Plus Liverpool still have to play Burnley and Crystal Palace (beach I am sure), Chelsea play Villa on the weekend too.
If our position in the top 4 places all season doesn’t tell you that surprises happen, you really aren’t paying attention.
Worst case, if you had said top 6 and the FA Cup at the start of the season- I would have snapped your hand off!
You weren't even THAT good.We wuz gash
The offside was given under the lino’s interpretation, which was entirely wrong. Carragher knew what was happening straight away, apologising with his ‘I would be disappointed if I was a Baggies fan’ tropes.I genuinely don't know the rule for that offside. The rules state that a player is in an offside position if they're blocking the line of vision of an opponent, but literally every example I've ever seen of it (including the diagrams designed to teach referees) only ever include players blocking the keeper's vision of a shot that goes directly in, not blocking the keeper's vision of a pass to another onside player who the keeper can see clearly. It's pretty clear that the law was invented for the former reason, but it's been worded in a way that allows them to pull this bullshit.
Yes, the scorer was clearly onside but if you're stood in front of the goalie in an offside position you're always going to be on shaky ground. It's not the first time a goal has been chalked off for that. If I'm not mistaken, someone had one chalked off against us not so long ago for the same thing, can't remember which match it was.He probably doesn't know what he was doing but he didn't impede Allisson who was never gonna save that goal had there been no one there, and it must be that that VAR found to be the answer to Dipper candles, prayers and indulgences, 'cos the scorer was clearly onside.
I think maybe Ancelloti has lost that aura about him, don't get me wrong he's been there and worn the t-shirt but maybe his methods and his motivational skills have waned slightly as he's got older.Perennial bottlers for decades now culminating in a season full of hope but ending in the same depressing way. Home performances have been utter garbage but alarmingly expected. Far too many players in the team who know regardless of how poor they play, they will still be in the team the next week
