Apparently the screen wasn't working, so the ref overturned Everton's pen based purely on the VAR's advice...

Probably Everton's own fault. How is the monitor not working for the opening day of the season?

If that's true then we're fucked. Don't need a screen now, just a couple of blokes watching telly making the decisions. I wonder when they knew the screen wasn't working.

I think Ait-Nouri is quality personally, whenever I watch Wolves he often looks like the only person capable of making something happen. Would fit in well at a top 6 team.

Isn't that pretty much what they do anyway? Yes; they go through the niceties of going to the monitor. But VAR wouldn't tell the ref to go and have a look at the replay if they agreed with the original call. How many times has a ref stuck with his original call after going to the screen? Precious few, I'm thinking.
