If you hope to win the league or cement top four you have to demolish teams like Ipswich both home and away. Every now again serious teams can drop points but this must only be once or twice a season if the intention is to challenge for silverware. A myth surrounding the PL is that the league is made up of teams who can easily beat each other on any given day the reality is very different. If we drop points next week against this lot the task of winning five in a row gets an awful lot harder.

Bastard of a 1st 2 games for Ipswich to be fair

Like so many teams at Ipswich level - lots of endeavour, some nice passing and movement. But they lack that ability to turn good positions into goals and at the other end - they discover that it only takes a moment for the better sides to take those same opportunities. It's no surprise that Liverpool are going to win this and that Ipswich will be looking to get their points again the other those likely to finish in the bottom half.

Just hope I'm saying the same thing next week!
