Premier League Games 17/18/19 March '23

Why don’t they just have the system used in Serie A or the UCL? Is it still being tested? Why are they still trying to draw lines in the PL?
It wasn’t even in the lines in this case, it was them interpreting the active/inactive offside and deliberate play of the ball (twice) of opposition players differently to how they have in the past (see @MCFC1993 post).

It’s farcical how inconsistent they are. It comes off as intentionally so.

He was offside and not intefering
forest players played the ball and he was onside then.

The ref choosing what pasage of play you go back to makes no sense

Either both this and the Salah goal are offside or both are onside.

The only difference was the colour of the shirt of the attacking player involved (and where their team is in the table compared to where the league wants their team to be in the table).

Semi automated offsides are great when the decision is a simple pass and receive.

We're still going to get shenanigans with deliberate plays on the ball and not interfering like the goal tonight and Fernandes' goal.

It comes down to the officials, FIFA, the IFAB and PGMOL and other refereeing associations need to get together and define a clear set of rules that referee's can use and compare to.

If that goal doesn't count tonight then neither does Salah's or ours at Villa a couple of seasons back or Mbappe's in the Nations League Final. They either all count or none of them do.
