It wasn’t even in the lines in this case, it was them interpreting the active/inactive offside and deliberate play of the ball (twice) of opposition players differently to how they have in the past (see @MCFC1993 post).

It’s farcical how inconsistent they are. It comes off as intentionally so.

Cheers Seb. I had just one eye on it so I thought they were trying to draw the lines. I’ve seen more consistency elsewhere with offside calls. Nothing new with their incompetence anyway. Tough job sure but they’re all shit

Surely if the Nottingham Forest player blasts it at an offside player it has to be a deliberate play on the ball by a defender? Otherwise there is absolutely no point in having that part of the rule?

I also would like to offer my membership to the growing club of people who don’t understand the rule.
