I'm hoping that the 2nd round of fixtures will be an improvement on what has gone so far. Probably understandable but of the 11 games played, 7 were 0-0 at half-time. And 2 of the 4 that weren't were only 1-0 with goals just before the break!

The first half of that West Ham game was the worst 45 minutes of football I can ever recall sitting through. Absolute dross.

Spurs v Utd gave it a run for it's money.

Yeah. It’s why I’m always unsure when I hear the phrase “common sense” applied to football, especially from pundits/journos / ex-pros; one person’s common sense is another’s inconsistency.
