Premier League Games 18/19 Feb '23

Might not be long before people start talking about United winning a quadruple. In which case, if we don't win it then Arsenal simply have to for the sake of all of us.

It's a bloody worry for sure. We're all praying Arsenal slip up but such is our inconsistent patchy form even if they do I can't see us taking advantage....which leaves the rags.

Them and ourselves. Not winning that game yesterday is worthy of a bloody TV mystery programme on its own, "How did City not win this?"
Oh I forgot about our most dangerous opponent, the programme should be titled "how to miss sitters starring: Manchester City"

The one thing we can take away from yesterday, Paul, is that we created far more chances than we had been doing until the Villa game. There was a lot right about yesterday's performance, if not the result. I do think that Pep has made in-game mistakes, but his overall approach has been right - keep a bit back so that we're in a position to make a big push in the last three months. The biggest issue I see is squad depth; whilst we technically do have two players for every position, some of them are simply not selectable which, in reality, means we have a small squad. Perrone, Phillips, Gomez, Carson and Palmer will never be trusted in key games, essentially meaning that we have 18 players. That is, I think, two short of what we need.
