Premier League Games 19/20/21 October

There must be so many managers out there who would love the Arsenal job.

You have a £170m front line in Pepe, Lacazette, Aubameyang. Ceballos is one of Spains best midfielders, Ozil is one of the best 10's in the world just sitting there in this weird purgatory/hibernation because Emery can't motivate him and can't fit him into the side.

They've got some really promising kids, a good pair of fullbacks and the centrebacks are average but nowhere near as bad as he's making them look.

Get Allegri in, and Arsenal would be shoe ins for the top 4 this season.
But you also have Xhaka and Mustafi. Two utter donkeys. Luiz has always had an error in him, and what I've seen of Sokratis this season hasn't impressed me at all.

Someone like Allegri would have looked at that Arsenal squad and not signed Pepe or even Luiz and would have signed someone like Maguire.

Emery has the Wenger mental block when it comes to singing centre halves

Ozil hasn't put a shift in for years,he hides in big games,he is sat right where he should be on his 350k a week,Pepe is useless, aside from that..

I've seen Ozil take apart Pep's Barcelona in a Clasico and dominate world cup semi-finals, some of the biggest games you can play in world football.

The whole "he hides in big games" thing is the most boring tired narrative in English football. He's an old school #10. No he isn't going to put in tackles or stick his boot into a midfield battle. That's only a problem if your manager is so clueless they ask him to.

Look at how Mourinho used him. He paired him with 2 solid defensive midfielders, or in games when the midfield was key, he'd put him at the top of a diamond or on the wing. That way, he could stay up the pitch where he could receive the ball and make the killer pass straight away, and he could dip into midfield when he wanted and actually was really effective at stealing the ball to start counters when people weren't expecting him to be coming at them from behind.

Ozil is Arsenal's best or maybe second best player, and the biggest improvement anyone could make to that side would be to get him playing again.

What I like about Sheffield United is they clearly try and play it about, they look to try and keep the ball and work overloads in the wide areas. But unlike previous "modest" teams who tried and played good football, they know what they are doing defensively and if the pass isn't on they get rid. One of the best coached sides in the league, unlike so many others (Ole cough) you can see that the players all know what they are supposed to be doing
