Several hundred million of that was to secure a £5m a year NFL deal which is questionable on its own, but on top of that it's unlikely to last the distance because everyone knows Shahid Khan is dead set on buying Wembley for the Carolina Panthers and the FA are not going to be able to foot the £150m refurbishment/upkeep bill on the stadium due in a few years.

I think when the ashes settle on Mourinho's severance for the 4 year, £15m contract and the £20m Bale loan his image as a savvy chairman will be seriously dented.

I imagine losing out on the CL this season will cost them most of the +ve from his transfer business over the last 5 years as well.


He was a good chairman 5-10 years ago but he didn't change with the club, and his frugality has turned to cheapness, which saw them go backwards and he panicked and grabbed at Mourinho despite it being completely out of keeping with the way they were running the club.

Jose's style relies very heavily on his forwards being clinical so when they're not firing it looks bad. Everyone has knew for a while that they rely to heavily on Kane.

Soldiers were not allowed to wear sunglasses in the Gulf States many years ago because 'they looked slovenly and diminished the personality of the wearer'.
The same goes for that scuffy get particularly with that stupid hat pulled down down over half his face emphasising those oversized choppers.
 
Anyone else watching premier League tonight and wondering why the penny is only just dropping with them. They're talking about a manager fitting into a clubs philosophy rather than changing it when the manager changes. When city went to this approach we were laughed at for trying to be Barcelona.
