Premier League Games 2/3/4 March '24

one win in our last 14 premier league meetings at klanfield i think, doesn't fill me with confidence

Two wins in all comps. since 1981 and one of them was in lockdown.

Hardly inspires confidence.

But there again, we’ve not been as good as we are now very often in all those years.

The frustration is the full minute or 2 leading to the goal. Konate head ‘injury’ stops a Forest attack when they still have the ball, Konate doesn’t get asked to leave the field, Liverpool don’t give Forest the ball back, then they get the corner and Forest have an easy chance to clear and it would have likely been the last kick of the game.

Yeah, might not have been corruption, but it’s an absolute shit fest that conjured up a last minute or 2 for them, don’t think I’ve seen anything like it.
Sure but football fans see what they want to see. The Dippers realistically were robbed at Spurs but nobody mentions that - if that hadn't happened they could be 7 points clear tonight. We (Arsenal) have had refereeing decisions go our way (at Anfield with the Odegaard handball), City have had decisions go their way too. It's just we only see what we want to.

FWIW I reckon City will pump them at Anfield and that will create a slump for Liverpool as their aura of invincibility goes. Then it will be a shootout between City and us for top spot, with City inevitably hitting their straps in the final couple of months and finishing top.

I'm also a realist. If the dippers were going to slip up it would have been during their injury period. In it they've won the league cup and are four points clear at the top of the league. We have to win our game tomorrow and win at Anfield to put it back in our hands. A big ask. We're capable of course but our record there is terrible.
Same, one win there in about 30 games.
Even when they were shit, we shit the bed.
I'd take a point now.

And we never get anything there, and if somehow we're winning into stoppage time it's play until the reds score, but who knows we finally managed to score a goal at the new Spurs ground and Pep has never won at a packed klanfield so maybe that's all the motivation he needs.
