Ball was still before the line when he saw it was going in.

He wouldn’t have stopped it, but you can be absolutely sure Kompany, Otemendi, Laporte, and especially Stones would be throwing themselves at it on the very unlikely chance they could stop it.

And let’s not even mention Fabianski just watching it roll across the line without even trying to dive toward it.

this really need saying every time a goalie cocks up ? It’s happens to every keeper and Fabianski has made some superb stops tonight.

All the more reason to investigate him just letting a fairly tame shot straight at him roll through his legs and then just watch it trickle over the line.
