Handballs get given when the ball gets smashed at someone from 5 yards away, yet this didn't touch any other player from the corner! It shouldn't matter that his arms are in a "natural position" he had ample time to get them out of the way of the ball. Also how is having his fucking eyes closed any kind of defence, spitty?

I have repeatedly said why is VAR being operated by the same organisation officiating at the games? It should be operated by a completely independent organisation.

The rule is that it has to hit the scorers arm directly or it has to be deliberate handball in the build up.

That was neither of those things so correctly given.

Agreed, largely because I expect an independent organisation might have a snowball’s chance in hell of, you know, knowing the rules.

You’ve got to the root of the issue with officiating in football. Certain infringements are subjective and why decisions will be debated forevermore, with or without VAR.

Correct, it’s all subjective, even the fucking offsides, as we saw with Rashfords goal against the dippers this season and Sterling’s goal against the dippers last season.
