Premier League Games 22/23/24 October '22

I thought the rule in the Premier League is that the person who scores has to have handled it for it to be overruled.

I think it's only in the Champions League they can go back and intervene for another player handling it.

That's why Zouma's stands and Rodri's didn't.

Prefer the Premier League rule to be honest.
A deliberate handball by someone who is not the eventual scorer would be allowed in the Premier League ?

Regardless of whether the ball ended up in the back of the net or not, that was handball and should have been given as so

If there is a clear and obvious error, then VAR could get involved. There’s no way that’s clear and obviously a foul.

The stupid bit is if that had been a defender, he could well have given a penalty away. That’s the silly aspect of the law.
Thanks for the clear response

But that surely is clear and obvious , whodecides what is clear and obvious

Clear and obvious to some cretin sat in a var bus watching corrie

So each of the West Ham players could have punched it around and it's cool, as long as the guy who scores it hasn't handled it? That seems a little strange.
Alternatively, one player could accidentally brush the ball with his hand and the goal gets disallowed.

Neither is 100% right and nuance needs to be added.
