Premier League Games 22/23/24 October '22

Im not trying to be clever

It shouldnt be a premiership offical ... period
Why? They’re people who are trained by the FA to do this job.

Now don’t get me wrong, I think some of them are poor and they do make a lot of mistakes but it has to be someone from the governing body.

My view is that governing body needs better people.

Wigan fans still whinge about Goaters goal twenty odd years ago and that wasn’t clear. Imagine if the Goat had scored from a Jamie Pollock volleyball pass LOL
Top night that. Amazing atmosphere at Maine Road. I seem to remember they hit the bar in the last few minutes. Could have been a real sliding doors moment for city if that had gone in!

Should be an independent governing body with no dogs inthe fight

I don’t even think it’s that. There needs to be more common sense applied, which I know is in itself subjective.

They’re so frightened of re-refereeing games that the bar is far too high for most penalty overturns and far too low on handballs.

That’s what the FA is… or is supposed to be.

If you want to argue there’s too much bias at the FA and people like David Gill need fucking off, I’ll agree with you.

But they are an independent governing body.

This guy is usually the VAR expert, usually explains it how the referee's see it:

Basically saying a deliberate action is the only question and based on the responses to it (even in this thread), I'm not sure VAR could call it clear and obvious.

They usually only call it when a player has stuck his arms out away from his body.

So he naturally crossed and linked his arms, and naturally and involuntarily made a jolt with his right hand launching the ball upwards, yeah sure.....Watching the pitch and VAR officials managing the game of football in the EPL is the same as watching the physicist Sabine Hossenfelder giving a lecture 'What if the effect comes before the cause'.

If there was a panel of 3 fans sat behind the VAR screens they'd probably do a better job.

I’m currently debating myself whether or not I want it scrapped or that it’ll come good the more confident they get with it.
