Everton do have a long history in the top flight, and from a selfish point of view, it would be nice for this to be reset. I knew a few Everton fans who were very bitter towards us after our takeover.

But these two things are minor annoyances in the overall scheme of things. Everton are a good club, with a rich history, and few blemishes as a club. They live in the shadow of more successful neighbours (I refuse to use the word illustrious), and have suffered unfairly as a result.

To this day, Liverpool fans taunt them for losing out on European football, which came about due to Liverpool's murderous fans. Even their own local newspaper barely acknowledge them.

We have a lot in common with Everton. They are where we have been, and we hated it. And because of this, I have no ill will towards them. They have my sympathies, and I hope they survive this season, and build again so that they can eventually challenge and overcome Liverpool.

Different teams though. You dont have rapid players and play long ball. We press uptop and in midfield it either forces the defence to push right up or leaves massive gaps. Our CB's are the slowest in the league, we cant push up so we had to sit deeper in a low block. That works against them, they struggle as they dont have as much quality as you. We dont lose 2-0 if Mane gets rightly sent off, or Gordon gets a definite pen. 2 massive blatant decisions that change a game at 0-0

Two things were absolutely confirmed for me this weekend.

1. The Rag's are still shite.

2. The PL/PiGMOL/Sky/BT/BBC want another 93:20 moment with their preferred 'Quad Squad' Shampions this time (Deliberate spelling mistake - it means more), and will go to ANY lengths to try and engineer it.

Both clubs get decisions , weve had a couple at Arsenal & Everton , and the Dippers have had theirs , but the difference is there is always a national inquiry and questions asked in parliament when we recieve a fortunate decision.
There is hardly a mention when the Dippers gain an advantage , the Mane gouge against Everton wasnt even mentioned on MOTD , imagine if one of our players had attempted poking someones eye out , it would have been in the media for the duration and a six match ban for the player.
Ther eis no doubt the football hierarchy and all the media are desperte for a Dipper quadruple , they are primed for it and the documentries have already been made , its our duty to the world of football to f*ck the Dippers up.
