Premier League Games 23/24/25 August

I was talking about TV audiences not theones in the ground...no idea what goes on there.

Of course broadcasters are going to show something in detail when the game has been stopped for a period of time - to fill in the gap insteas of just watching the players walk around the pitch with puzzled looks on their faces/arguing with the ref etc

Again the nature of the decision/goal/non goal will decide how long something is gone over I guess...like my example of a 30 yd screamer - doesnt need much going over in that one but whereas tight off/on side calls will need to be checked in more detail.
VAR takes over during a close review, the review is shown on telly and there is moving about the lines etc and the decision,VAR shows what it's doing not the broadcasters, jesus

did they ref award it ? or VAR ? if either what is VAR doing checking it ? as pogbas didn't go to VAR , and ours wasn't even reviewed or was and they didn't think it was , Im confused as fuck
The ref gave it,VAR decided in 10 secs not to overturn it,VAR reviewed ours as oliver was looking away, swarsbrick came out and branded rodders a cheat, said it was a dive

If Watford lose this their next games are

Newcastle (A) Arsenal (H) Man City (A) Wolves (A)

Granted Newcastle away isn't the toughest but it's not inconceivable that they could be on 0 points after 7 games.

Does the United game always have to have a biased Scottish nobody co-commentating?

I certainly hope you are right, mate.

I think the body of evidence created from the years preceding VAR have most of us VAR critics very sceptical of that, though.

I have more hope. We’re barely three weeks into the season and officials have been under more scrutiny already than they generally face all season in past years. players and pundits are calling them out already, that generally only happens in one off instances where there’s something at stake. there’s no longer anywhere for their incompetence to hide behind now that human error or not seeing it from the right angle are no longer legitimate excuses. It will build to the point where officiating has to improve as the current standard won’t be tolerated. Won’t happen overnight but it’s steps forward.
