The media have nothing to do with the PFA awards, it’s the pros who are voting for them. I’m surprised that Kompany hasn’t won it before though, I thought he had.
There is a perception in the media that the money you’ve spent in the last decade diminishes your achievements. I don’t subscribe to that personally as I’ve said many times on here. It takes far more than just money to achieve what you’ve done. It’s the right manager with the right players at the right time. Of course the money helps but all top teams have reasonably strong resources. I honestly believe that the media’s real issue is with your owners rather than the football club per se, but I’ll happily swerve that argument, that’s a whole other debate. But you’ve definitely racked up some superlatives in the press, especially in the last few years, for what’s happened on the field. And rightly so. The winning of last years title for example was an incredible achievement.

if city won the champions league and liverpool did all 4 trophies you would closed the book on all the awards ? the media are fully in control and know what they are doing. they have even used the cheat tag all ready and waiting for the day when the CAS verdict is released ? 2 full weeks of cheats storm coming and they will want blood and titles removed if found guilty or 1 day right at the bottom of the pages city win at the CAS

the truth is city have been punished for it already by uefa and this latest case is based on the old case ? so how can you be punished twice for the same crime. also its based on stolen emails by a hacker in which breaks all the laws. and should not be used because a hacker can also plant false information so again all this is just a witch hunt and a smear on manchester city image ? uefa know what they are doing and they think city would just lie down and take it haha. also city are close to winning the champions league so smear the image and build a hate and cheat tag

Again, I say that it’s daft to make any proclamations until the evidence is clear. I’ve honestly no idea whether you’re guilty or not. I certainly don’t believe though there’s some kind of smoking gun scenario that City have on Liverpool that seems to have some traction on here, that’s a little pie in the sky for me. But even in the worst case situation of a two year ban, it won’t affect you as much as it would other clubs on the pitch but it may be tougher off the pitch. Until then, innocent until proven guilty. That’s my take on it.

It’s all ifs and buts, no basis for any kind of legal conversation. I certainly don’t believe though there’s some kind of smoking gun scenario that City have on Liverpool that seems to have some traction on here, that’s a little pie in the sky for me. It’s a tricky one, this. Is it judged on trophies and success or what you’ve managed to achieve with the resources available? For example, it’s almost impossible to split Klopp from Guardiola over the last few years. Of the ones you mentioned above, Burley definitely deserved his. That was in a year where we won a record breaking treble and United retained a league title. He built a great little team who throughly deserved to finish where they finished. Did it make him a better manager than Houllier or Ferguson? Of course not, but what he achieved with the resources available, it was an amazing feat. Sometimes the trophies don’t count for everything.

I have seen ( admittedly on this forum ) , that the authorities were aware of the hacking , but did not want to get involved , thus tarnishing the PL brand . Hence the settlement with no further repercussions for the gulity party.

Another conspracy theory no doubt.
