I think you're dumbing down Txiki's role there. As for Alonso,lesson learned for Conte that Premier League >>>>>>>>> Serie A.

Txiki gets a description of what kind of player the manager needs, comes back with a shortlist, gets the preferences and tries to get the A target. The manager will pick out the odd specific player that he wants, like Silky.

Mangala isn't a bad defender either, just not what Guardiola wants, so whether Guardiola would have put him in preference doesn't matter as he wasn't manager then. As well slag off Keegan because Guardiola wouldn't like Anelka.

will not be easy, we tried to get him in last window apparently, but Arsenal told us to fuck off. ( based on reports that is). Arsenal will resist heavily, think he has 2 years left next summer.

It is fun to see Kante getting exposed as the incredibly average footballer that he is. Take away the solid defensive unit around him and he's just a dog that chases the ball, who if he gets it can't do anything except pass it 5 yards sideways. (I am possibly being harsh, but I just don't rate him at all)
