I think you're right, I reckon the majority of the other 4 in 5 are from wide positions.

And I'd hazard a guess that of the 19 out of 20 shots that miss, at least half of those aren't even close, either driven straight into the wall or into row Z. What this doesn't show is that the 5% that get scored are disproportionately going to be scored by better players like De Bruyne, Ward-Prowse etc... which suggests the average Prem team probably scores way less than 1 in 20... Yet still they persevere.
