I saw a video a few months back (possibly one of the Tifo ones) which was basically looking at the question "what is United's style of play?" and it was actually quite interesting.

In essence, the fact they don't really look like they have a plan, sort of... is the plan.

Ten Hag could be cleverer than we thought. If there's no plan, your opponents can't come up with a plan to beat your plan. Cunning.
