Premier League Games 25/26/27 October 2024

There's a wonderful reference in Arsenal Talk to Sky Blue Sports.

How times have changed when (some) people seriously believe Sky (or any other part of the media) is biased towards City.

For me, there's a flaw in Arsenal's mentality that seems similar in team and fans. Deep down, they don't believe they're good enough. And belief is important in football.

The odd thing is, City has a shit ton of injuries. If ever there was a chance for another team, surely this season is it. It's amazing we're top of the league with so many absentees, so many players having to do more minutes than ideal. No one can argue we're in brilliant form. It''s a wide open door for any team with the bollocks to stride through it.
but but we got strongest squad in world football

There will be plenty of that entitled behaviour at the Etihad when Pep.leaves and guaranteed wins start to dry up , just wait.

Yeah, we really haven't had much to boo about for eight years, have we? I'm far, far from being able to get to every home match, but I was thinking the other day, “When did I last see City lose at the Etihad?” It goes back years. Pellegrini's last season, I think.
Good that we've still got the CL anthem to boo, eh? That's an evergreen. Until, one year, we're not actually in the CL. And that will come, too…

I remember the South Stand booing Kolarov, I think it was at an end-of-season match in which we had not exactly distinguished ourselves — think we lost — and at the final whistle the team went over to thank the supporters for their support. He stuck two fingers up to them, and honestly, I was more on his side than on theirs that day.
I have never — and would never — boo one of our players out there on the pitch. The only circumstances in which I could imagine doing it would be if I could clearly see that a player had been ambling around doing sweet f.a. for the whole match, and basically taking the piss. And I'm not talking about having a rank bad match, or being a rank bad player. And I have never yet seen that behaviour from a City player.

Edit: sorry, in the name of strict honesty, I have to correct that. Just remembered: Kolarov — yes, the same — against Southampton away. I was disgusted with him that day. Also, towards the very end of his time, there was a suspicion that Edin was pretty indifferent to being out there. Would never have booed either of them, though, because what they gave as good servants to the club far, far outweighed one or two dismal — and maybe, not fully honest — performances.

Is that any different to the penalty that Taylor gave against Ederson at the Emirates
And what was Taylor doing when Virgil pushed the Arse guy and when he stayed on his feet gave him a double kicking. Can you imagine what would happen if Bernie adopted the same approach? Two-tier reffing courtesy of the Alty Tit. There isn't a game goes by without that useless whistling wanker adopting a thoroughly lenient but wholly incorrect application of LofG.

Van dijk is a great defender but he gets away with everything with refs. It’s certainly easier to defend when you know you can foul the opponent with impunity.

Wasn't it at Anfield that he allowed players to kick fook out of each other & then Haalands goal was disallowed for a lesser foul, albeit by VAR
That was the perfect result for the rag loving Altrincham fan

That was another case of a player scoring when he should have been sent off some minutes earlier. It'll be a case of not wanting to spoil the game for the mythical neutrals and it would have been too early to be dishing out red cards, whether they are warranted or not!!
