It isn't true because they are not as good as the other two favourites for the title (see bookies odds for a start).

Going off your logic, you think Leicester, as we stand, have a better chance than City of winning the league.

Doing so requires a hell of a lot of mental strength in the final leg, Spurs have never got close to showing they have that. Bigger bottle merchants than Arsenal

By all means write them off after they bottle it but right now they're a threat, as are Leicester. "Past performance is no guarantee of future returns etc etc."
