Maybe Spurs can give them a game next weekend.

Don’t bank on it. I’m not a pessimist by any stretch, but banking on Spurs at this stage of the season invariably ends in tears.

It doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things does it? Win our remaining games and we retain the title.

I just focus on things that City can control and assume Liverpool will win. Anything extra is a welcomed bonus.

At the end of the day, we can’t really have a pop at sides not beating Liverpool when we’ve failed to beat them on three occasions this season.

I know it’s unfair to single out a specific moment in the season, but if we don’t win the title, the missed opportunity from Mahrez in the last minute against them will be the key moment.

To lose in that manner, after being outplayed and giving us a huge advantage in the title race would have really dented their momentum.

Instead, they rode their luck, lived to fight another day and beat us the following week.

Let’s hope Madrid don’t follow their lead.
