Highest net spend, not even sniffed a title race and that XI today is embarrassing with the money spent. 9 defensive players.
And a starting 11 costing over half a billion, where Leeds have a free transfer striker. Bet the commentary will make excuses re injuries without brining the cost of the teams up.
Rags are hard to best these days as the teams up is littered with defensive players.

Today marks the return of the biggest rivalry in English football dating right back to the 16th century. It really matters, honest. At the end of the season they will look back on this as the moment that potentially decided whether they finish 8th or 10th. Doesn't get much bigger than that.
I know you’re only jesting, but the Wars of the Roses thing is always misconstrued anyway and had little to do with Lancashire and Yorkshire.

The House of Lancaster was mainly estates in Gloustershire and Wales and the House of York had estates spread at random around England but were mainly based in the Welsh Marches, and barely at all in Yorkshire. Even York itself was a House of Lancaster stronghold. Both sides had and gained support at random around England and Wales, with some areas fighting for both sides within the Wars and many areas in Yorkshire supporting neither side at all.

Manchester and Leeds were just little villages in the 1400s, and had next to nothing to do with the Wars.

Good atmosphere. Remember when we all used to stand up at the Etihad for big games? Even in 005 where I sit, always used to stand up for derbies and even the early years of some UEFA Cup and Europa League games (Hamburg, second half v Sporting when Joe Hart nearly scored to put us through after being about 1-4 behind on aggregate).

Newcastle home win in 2004 to ensure our PL survival, all of Level 1 stood up all game.
