I’m actually someone who does defend VAR at times in general. But it’s not about individual instances being right or wrong really, it’s about what made this sport special over and above all other sports, not being as special as it once was.

I’ve not celebrated a goal at 100% since VAR came in. I don’t know anyone who has. When Gundogan scored that winner last season against Villa I went fucking wild, but not 100% wild because I did wonder whether he might be offside or not or whether something else happened I might have missed that could chalk it off.

I think while VAR has improved the amount of incorrect decisions being makes in the sport, goals not being as special as they used to be does override that to a certain extent.

As I said to someone else my first thought is to check the linesman after a goal. Often fans around me had a full celebration before they realised it was disallowed. The officials were often wrong,
I think it is more important to look at the people rather than the process.
At present there is a major issue, incompetent, overweight, idiots with a whistle or flag.
The game needs to sort it now.

Smash and grab only works when teams don’t take their chances, yesterday we didn’t, more often than not, and probably more than the last few seasons we will.

Agree re the run but the keeper had the weak shot covered if the defender didn’t touch it.

with all the respect, there's only one outstanding team in the league at the moment. double the goal difference of all the rest ffs. a couple of unnecessary dropped points but we've been by far the best

It what happens when there team has won fuck all for 5 years they get giddy with the belief they are back or on the way back to where they were under fergie! They’ll never be back like that maybe they’ll win the league again in the next five years but the league is so so strong..
