Premier League Games 30/31 March '24

We still have Bobb and we banked £42m for a player who couldn’t get a start in our team and probably wouldn't be starting if he was still there. As for Nunes and Doku - do you remember Rodri’s first season ?

It’s funny how you let Doku and Nunes have a free season to find their feet, but don’t extend the same courtesy to Palmer.

You're far from the worst example, but Normally sensible posters bending over backwards to say half thought out stupid shit trying to defend the club over a decision no one on here has a clue about is just one of the reasons the Palmer argument is so boring.

Surely we’ve all watched enough football to know you can’t judge these decisions after 6 months, and we can all just shut up about it until the dust has settled and else can make an informed judgment.

Wolves away says "Hold my beer".
There is always a bad performance or two and Wolves falls into this category. The Palace game was one of the worse throwaways in recent memory. Should we lose the league by a point we really can't complain after the shit show that day.

I wouldn't. I think Doku will figure things out and go on to be a very good player for us.

Problem for Doku is Pep is the wrong manager for him in my opinion. Just the wrong style of football for him.

He enjoys being unpredictable, but to play in a Pep team, all the other players need to know what everyone is going to do. It relies on predictability.

It's why Haaland, in my opinion, doesn't like playing with him because he doesn't know where to be when he has the ball on the wing.

Sometimes happens that an inferior side's style works against certain opposition. We play a high line and Chelsea have a lot of pace going forward which seems to cause us problems.
See a certain side from Salford.

Arguably the worst footballing side in the PL.

Even Sheffield United and Burnley play a more attractive style and show more technical ability.

We have dropped a bollock by letting him go. That doesn't mean we are a hotbed of incompetence, just means we don't get everything right. There's no harm in acknowledging he's going to become a top class player.

Maybe we have, was he ever going to get the game time here? Reminds me of the Sancho situation. If we keep Palmer and get rid of Bobb then he goes Chelsea and tears it up then people wouldn’t be happy. I hope he becomes world class genuinely just not against us.
