Premier League Games 5/6/7 August '22 (new season)

Jesus looked great, but didn’t do too much different than he’s done in a city shirt. Shows the gulf in class between us and them. I like Arteta and think he’s putting together a nice side to watch, can see them clinching 4th.

one of those rounds when all rivals play earlier and win their game before we step onto the pitch for a tricky game and drop points. hope I am wrong and it wont be a shit weekend.

Good from Zinchenko in first 20 mins when his team have the ball and are dominant.

Will be interesting to see how he fares playing regularly at left back over the course of the season. For all his ability I suspect we'll see plenty of his defensive weaknesses exposed when playing week in week out there (especially next to Gabriel who is no Ruben Dias or Laporte).

Thought Arsenal looked good but against a Palace team who lacked any sharpness in the first half

Jesus and (less so) Zinchenko are two great additions, they'll really help them out but I don't think enough to get top 4...you look at their bench and what is there?

Nketiah...was his form last season legit or a purple patch? Tierney is a top player when he can keep himself fit. Elneny, Pepe, Holding, Cedric and Lokonga aren't best, ok prem players.

Yes they were missing Viera, Tomisayu and Smith-Rowe but I can't see them getting top 4 unless they don't take Europa seriously and field youth teams only

I've no idea either. So it sounds like Dias handball shouldn't have been a penalty as it doesn't fit any of these criteria???
Ah but there is an additional criterion that is inevitably added to the burgeoning handball law that does mention the badge on the shirt . . . . . . .! We have had the shittiest, most doubtful pens awarded against us and dozens of absolute stoners just ignored by both the whistling wanker and the clown in the VAR shed. I expect much the same this coming season.
