Van Dijk is a top class defender, said at the time we should have been all in for him, and haven't changed my mind. Pep would have made him even better. Having said that, I'm OK with what we currently have in 4 (yes 4) top class centre backs....once Eric gets his head back on straight that is.

PS great weekend, enjoyed the dippers result almost as much as I enjoyed us schooling the rags

We have 2 great central defenders and 1 very good one which is better than anyone else. Happy days.

Ducked out of the way of the first goal and was on roller skates for the second. The fastest he moved was when he spun round to blame someone else for the second goal.

Not so sure about that. The commentators were spunking in each others faces about the greatest tackle they have ever seen even though they were unable to come up with a single clip showing that he got the ball.
Plus he has hair like Ena Sharples.

they pronounced it a great clean tackle without seeing reply which leads me to think VAR listen to commentary while watching game so no need to review

He really didn't every one on one he was unfortunately class. The ease he swatted the attacker aside was pretty special. 3 great centre backs in this league and he is one luckily we have the other 2.

Played Fornals onside for the second goal by dropping then blamed everyone else.
