The football is very similar to city which I don’t take as a criticism at all.

I love this style of football which is what drew me to arsenal and why I also like watching city.

My point is the idea we are copying citys style is nonsense/arrogance. If anything it’s the other way around considering we’ve been doing it since 1997. You say the patterns are identical to city, they are also identical to the patterns we were playing up to about 2016 when it went slightly turgid.

Also remember arteta played for Wenger and it isn’t beyond imagination that he picked up a lot from him, so the idea that everything comes from pep is again slightly arrogant.
