To be fair we had Dzeko lying face down at Goodison for 7 minutes years ago. Newcastle are no strangers to players going down 'injured' either. Up to the officials to not stop the game.

I actually dont know 100% if it hit his thigh or arm first. No one does conclusively. So by VAR’s own rules they should not have got involved as its not a clear and obvious error!! Surprise surprise they completely ignored their own rules when its suits….

Just shows again how differently we are reffed compared to the red shirts, when only a week or so ago the Partey incident was treated completely different. Even tho the pictures in that incident clearly showed he made contact with KDB’s ankle first… Yet they didnt get involved!!
