Premier League Games 6/7 April '24

Not really a believer in the defender getting the edge of their little toenail to the ball means they won it and therefore are able to completely hack down the opponent in the process.

Was a pen for me, I'd have been livid if we didn't get one for that.

.

If you want to get technical the ball was bouncing into a more favourable position for Jesus

He’s skinned him and beat his man, the fact Lamptey glanced the ball ( he didn’t win the ball he was down and out the game ) is irrelevant, Jesus had done enough to best his man and was brought down
The number of people on here claiming corruption / bent blah blah - it’s a fekin pen every day of the week - we’d be going mental if it happened to one of ours

Stop fucking about at the back!!! Minutes to go until halftime and they almost gift them another.

Just a question does that mean it comes down to the amount of ball contact according to the rules. If the defender had cleared it over one of the stands rather than just clipping it would it still be classed as a penalty. I can understand varying degrees of contact when applying them to player direct fouls just wondering if it's varying degrees with regard to the ball too.

Cheers.

I don’t 100% know the laws it’s just I can see how that is called a penalty all day as Jesus had beat his man and if not brought down is in on goal

Do I think if lamptey comes in and whacks it into the stand full contact then takes Jesus out on the follow through it’s clear cut then no probably not

For that to happen though lamptey would’ve had to been early to the tackle but today he was late and Jesus touch had done him causing him to only graze the ball and clear no danger

Yep I’d be going berserk
