Premier League Games 6/7 April '24

I wonder if Brighton will be this shit when we play them. Arsenal should have already put this game to bed. Brighton just aren’t in it.

Just a question does that mean it comes down to the amount of ball contact according to the rules. If the defender had cleared it over one of the stands rather than just clipping it would it still be classed as a penalty. I can understand varying degrees of contact when applying them to player direct fouls just wondering if it's varying degrees with regard to the ball too.

Cheers.
Maybe it’s the fact he hacked down Jesus in the follow through and if he hadn’t he’d have got the ball which was only marginally redirected and would have been clean through - I’m honestly gobsmacked it’s even a debate - it’s a pen all day long and if it happened to us all the melts crying “corruption” would be shouting for a pen - fact!

BBC: Get Involved

SMS Message: Love to know how Lamptey can get some of the ball but it’s still a pen, when MacAllister got studs to the chest in the Liverpool v City game but it wasn’t given as the City player got some of the ball. Do the refs even watch the football? from Richie, London
SMS Message: The inconsistency in refereeing is infuriating. Lamptey gets the ball than trips Jesus. Penalty. Doku gets the ball (second) then studs Mac Allister in the chest. Play on. Countless other examples from Frustrated, from Bolton
SMS Message: Fuming that penalty was given. A few week ago Man City's Doku studded Liverpool's Mcallister in chest but because he slightly touched ball first there was no penalty! I'm a Bolton fan not a Liverpool fan but lack of consistency is shocking from Sean, Bolton
Clearly none of these messages on the BBC are from dippers! #BBC cunts
