Premier League Games 9/10 Dec '23

When they (Aston Vile) relegated Newcastle on the last day in 2009 they celebrated for literally no other reason other than to be cunts, especially with their "Sob on the Tyne" banners that their supporters actually spent all that time in their houses making.

No preexisting rivalry to justify their nonsense.

Their fans have convinced themselves that everyone is jealous of them because of a European Cup they won 40 odd years ago, which ties in with the fact they think they’re a massive club. Delusional all round.

TWATS, enjoy your eventual fall from grace. Even if you "Do a Leicester", you'll soon go down.

Yeah but the Geordies are bigger cunts so fuck 'em.

It's the most weirdest rivalry going. It's like they wanted a half decent team to have as their rivals and just picked Newcastle because they could relegate them on the last day of the 2008/09 season.

Aston Vile made Sweet Caz a football song and thus ruined it. The only ever time in my life I agreed with a Rag on anything was Roy Keane sneering at their dressing room celebrating in 2020 when they stayed up.

On the bright side, at least that's one other team who can beat the other vile.

If the player who handles the ball goes on to score, the goal is disallowed. If it's another player who handles it, it then depends on whether it was judged to be intentional handball or not.

I think!
Exactly. I agree with you. Im happy it got disallowed obvs but i dont think havertz handballed it deliberately and as Nketiah scored it should stand as a goal according to the law? I think…

Will watch it again now

**edit**
Maybe Havertz did score and not Nketiah so fair enough. A lot going on! ;)

Theres nothing at all in the laws about unnatural positions, just making your body unnaturally bigger and that came in 2019. So id imagine they've been talking about it since then.

Wouldnt it just be easier to admit you dont know the laws of the game.

I'll wait...

So, I never said the law ever contained the words "unnatural position". These are words used by pundits over the last couple of years as to which you never asked why I used the quote. Your assumption, not mine.

Perhaps then, since the commentators are the ones that inform us at the start of the season about game interpretation changes, they are the ones that lead the public down the pathway.

The discussion is no different to levels of offence on the pitch where the same foul committed outside of the box and inside of the box can be deemed different and it confuses everybody.

Are there any laws that explain the differences OR... or is it down to the ref to interpret what they saw?

It's a physical game, all actions are not the same as we see in every game, so the law being rigid is dumb.

I've said my piece on it.

I'm not being overly optimistic, but i think we are doing ok.
Coming off a near perfect season, having won the last three league titles would mean any team was bound to have a wobble.
And that's the point, is this a wobble or a trend?

We are still bedding in some new players. We have one of our best players out injured.
We need a proper back up for Rhodri which is killing us. Maybe addressed after Xmas?
Stones being in and out has unsettled us as well.

The up side is Debruyne is coming back soon. Doku is on fire. Rhodri got a rest!
We should hopefully come back in form which should unleash us to properly feed Haaland again.
We really do have a fantastic squad. Even our younger players are doing us proud.

If not, i can take it.
And for some weird reason, i prefer us chasing other teams down.
I can't stand being ahead and then losing a match!
