As is often the case, he didn’t bother to run back. Would he have impacted played? Maybe not. But he still needs to come back and try.

He is great going forward, no disputing that, but he tends to be very selfish (to the point of regularly frustrating his teammates) and people ignore how he contributes to Chelsea’s overall dysfunction (which isn’t completely down to him, but he is a part of it).
