I know you are being facetious, but they have quality in about 7 positions and squad quality in the others, but the area they really lack is the midfield.

They don't use the midfield as everything is launched into the area with their longball approach.

I think a lot of it is Klopp’s style of play, rock and roll football as it used to be called. You press from the front against good teams and you squeeze play with your defensive line against the lesser teams. With either system you need quality in all positions except midfield hence you only invest in your forward and back line. It is effective but it doesn’t lend itself well to rotation or competing on 4 fronts.
