He’s a natural successor to Pep ….
He is one of many who try to copy Guardiola, but do any of them have the deep understanding of the philosophy to change within that system like Guardiola does? I am not so sure.
Personally, I am hoping he identifies someone else who he himself thinks can continue the Michels>Cruyff>Guardiola philosophy and spends ten years passing the knowledge on. Would be a shame if it was all wasted.

Had a feeling this would happen to Villa. Same thing happened to us under Sven. First half of the season is a breeze cos nobody's figured you out, then the legs start to get a bit tired, and everyone plays you a second time knowing exactly what you're gonna do. Suddenly the results you've been getting aren't coming as thick and fast. They'll finish about 7th. Still an excellent season but can't see them winning many games between now and May.
