Premier League (midweek) Games 30/31 Jan + 1/Feb '24

Take off the last minute winners the rags have had and the fact wolves didn't get a nailed on pen in the reverse fixture and you're looking at utd being about 24/26 points.

They are up where they are by the seat of their pants. Hopefully everyone else around them will be too good.

To determine if the ref made an error VAR has to decide if the original offence happened or not
If he decided that his decision was in contradiction of the refs then the next question is it a clear and obvious enough to ask the ref to look again

The Wolves penalty wasn’t however Tierney who didn’t give the penalty last evening decided it was enough of an error

VAR is bringing the game into dispute

“Asking the ref to look again” isn’t a thing. Maybe it would be best if it was. But at the moment it isn’t.

The VAR will only send the referee to the screen to show him evidence of why he’s made a clear error and should reverse his decision.

Normally I'd be majorly pissed off right now, but it would not be the same without Thursday Nights on TNT to keep me entertained next season, seeing they are now 7th.

That's as good as they will finish. They are just an irrelevant piece of vermin now, celebrating wins as if they are happening at Wembley.

How the mighty have sunk.

Hopefully this win keeps the manager in place for another season. Fingers crossed.

Strange times when they get a last minute winner and it doesn’t affect us in any way whatsoever.
