Premier League (midweek) Games 5/6/7 December '23

Two stuffy 4-3/3-4 wins for our closest rivals over the course of a few days.

Tomorrow will really test our character - especially after a disappointing draw against spurs.

unfortunately Bellingham and Rice has been top class business in this summer for the new clubs. expensive as hell but top class.

even Rice adds some clutch goals already from DM position alongside leadership, fight, off the ball skills nd this fucker is never ever injured etc. probably will start 37 PL games as he did for WHU a lot of seasons.

Bellingham is on 15 goals + 4 assists in 17 apps for Real league and CL combined, sick.

I am looking at what we added in Nunes and Kovacic, fucking huge difference. from a position of strength (winning treble) we wasted long long weeks on getting Gvardiol over the line and also jumping from one midfield target to another until we ended up with plan F

Pep definitely knows what goes on with the officials, Manchester City never ask for or wants any help
But the truth is this season so far is we have not played well enough to win the tight-drawn games.
Yes you can point the finger at the referee at the weekend, But if we took our chances then Spurs would have been well beaten by then,

Look we are not going to keep on winning the title every season, We will have to get used to coming up short. But if we show fight and keep on going right until the end, Then we hold our hands up and say well played to the champions.
When we have the possibility of an unprecedented 4 on the bounce this isn't the season to do it.

Referee continues to play on, well after the 6 minutes are up. Nothing happened in injury time to warrant any extension. The laws are quite clear that only a penalty kick can extend the time. A lot of refs have picked up this habit of ‘one last attack’ and its yet another way they’re actually controlling outcomes rather than just controlling the game they’re refereeing.

It's a minimum of 6 though, so if a full back is going to fuck about for so long before taking a throw in then it stands to reason the referee would let play continue a bit longer than the minimum.

No issues with the added on time here. I do have issues with our recent habit of conceding goals so late when our title rivals seem to be scoring at the death.
