Premier League (midweek) Games 5/6/7 December '23

Obviously disappointed that Luton
lost i the last few seconds ds but the positive is that Arsenal look beatable and the GD is minimal.

unfortunately Bellingham and Rice has been top class business in this summer for the new clubs. expensive as hell but top class.

even Rice adds some clutch goals already from DM position alongside leadership, fight, off the ball skills nd this fucker is never ever injured etc. probably will start 37 PL games as he did for WHU a lot of seasons.

Bellingham is on 15 goals + 4 assists in 17 apps for Real league and CL combined, sick.

I am looking at what we added in Nunes and Kovacic, fucking huge difference. from a position of strength (winning treble) we wasted long long weeks on getting Gvardiol over the line and also jumping from one midfield target to another until we ended up with plan F
Completely agree. We have gone backwards and have allowed others to catch us up and perhaps even overtake us in terms of squad strength. The next few transfer windows will be huge for the club. They have to recruit better in central midfield

Seen none of the game so dunno if it was a robbery or not but I've said this a few times this season already. Both arsenal and thrme dippers know how to snatch late wins to their credit, its happened nunerous times already and will continue to happen. they put constant pressure on the goal, play the probabilities and they get the job done. We don't do that, we never change from our plan and perhaps in the dying minutes we should.

we are a very tall team, 3/4 cbs on the pitch, rodri is as tall as one, haaland is a giant, thats at least 5 6ft+ players.
Spurs didn't have a single centre back on the pitch at the weekend and had a relatively small team yet we still refused to send in cross after cross and instead wasted most of extra time switching it from side to side and never really put them under much pressure.
Are you mad? Most of our games over the last 2 or 3 seasons have been over at half time.

We don't win games in the last minute, we leave that to the sides that finish 2nd and 3rd come the end of the season.

The formula to win the league is to win games comfortably by the 50th minute, and see the rest of the game out as a training session. Neither Arsenal or Liverpool seem capable of doing that, and whilst currently they're actually winning games, it's with a last minute winner or by one goal, which simply isn't sustainable over the course of a season.
