Premier League(midweek)Games 8/9/10 May

For a neutral the Swansea game will be worth watching with all the various outcomes involved.

What result from the Swansea v Southampton would suit City?
Tough one??
As the goal differences are:
  • Southampton -19 (pts 33)
  • Swansea -26 (pts 33)
  • Huddersfield -29 (pts 36)
I personally thing a stonking win for Southampton would see them safe and then they would be on their holidays for the final match.

So a Saints win for me then let the Swans and Terriers fight out the last relegation spot.

Swansea win. Relegating clueless would be a great end to a fantastic season. Although he'd probably resign at halftime and continue to claim he'd never been relegated as a manager.

20:00 Man City v Brighton & Hove Albion
Referee:
Paul Tierney
Assistants: Simon Beck, Andy Garratt
Fourth official: Bobby Madley

This guy appears to stand out from the general bunch of Whistling Wankers in that he has more than a passing knowledge of the LotG and is more likely to apply them without the usual partiality we've seen this season.

I had a nasty feeling that when I saw Mason as fourth official at Goodison at weekend I thought he was nailed on for us on Sunday, and then when it was the now-useless Dean, I thought the Bolton Ragamuffin would make his appearance on Wednesday. I'd put my shirt on Taylor getting the gig if Brighton needed some points for PL survival. Mind, if Swansea beat Soton then he might be shoe-horned in for next Sunday!

Third time at the Etihad this season for Tierney (Southampton and Newcastle earlier), and he also officiated our recent fixture away to Everton.

It were the Russians, I tell ye!

Southampton hit by Swansea hotel cancellation ahead of relegation clash

We understand Southampton are insistent they weren't given a satisfactory reason for the cancellation, and the team are now staying at the Vale of Glamorgan hotel near Cardiff - which is over an hour's drive from the stadium.

The Marriott in Swansea has denied claims it was trying to help Swansea. It has issued a statement, saying that an outbreak of illness at the hotel was the cause.
